I grew up right here in Paris, and this community is my home. As a graduate of Paris High School, my roots run deep here. I still remember playing basketball at the Paris elementary gym, riding my bike through the cemetery on Cypress, and running around the parks at Legion and Garrard. Today, I serve as the IT Manager at Dan Cummins, and my love for this town has only grown. I am running because I want to see our community truly flourish. Paris deserves a future guided by proper technological leadership and someone who genuinely cares about what lies ahead for all of us. I want to bring my professional experience and my lifelong dedication to Paris to ensure we thrive for generations to come.
Here in Paris, we have seen our taxes go up year after year. At the same time, we are all facing an astronomical rise in the cost of living. It is getting harder for families to make ends meet, and that is why I firmly believe that raising our taxes is simply not the answer to balancing our budget. We cannot keep balancing the books on the backs of our residents. If elected, I will fight to put an end to these constant tax increases. We must look at our budget differently and find sensible solutions that do not demand more from your hard-earned pockets. My focus is on keeping our community affordable, stable, and strong for everyone.
Here in Paris, our water infrastructure is over fifty years old, and our pipes are crumbling beneath our feet. We all see the results with water main break after water main break, disrupting our homes, businesses, and daily lives. This constant cycle has to stop. I believe we need to take immediate, decisive action to fix our aging system. That is why I will focus on securing the proper grants to fund these critical repairs. We can rebuild our infrastructure the right way, without putting the burden on you by raising your water bills or your taxes. I am ready to bring common-sense solutions to Paris and ensure we have the reliable, modern utilities our community deserves.
